Job summary
Verily Health is seeking a Software Development Manager in the United States to lead a growing team of software engineers and shape the technical roadmap for our Workbench platform.
You will oversee the end-to-end delivery, collaborate with research and product teams, and drive engineering excellence while ensuring secure, scalable solutions for biomedical data workflows. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on software delivery skills.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management of 5+ engineers.
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
- Track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and expand a team of 8-10 software engineers.
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, aligned with business goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute the team's strategic goals.
- Provide technical guidance and make critical decisions to meet milestones.
