Job summary

Oceus Networks is seeking Lead/Staff Principal Software Engineers in The Colony, TX to design, implement, and optimize large-scale software systems. You will lead complex subsystems, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while ensuring security, performance, and reliability across platforms.

The role requires hands-on expertise in modern languages (Go, Rust, Java, C++, Python), cloud-native patterns, microservices, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications or related field.
• Current secret security clearance or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, configure, integrate, verify, and troubleshoot solutions in lab or customer sites.
• Lead design and development of complex software components and subsystems.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
