JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer for Precious Metals/Front Office on the Commodities Tech team in New York.

You will lead a NYC-based software engineering team, drive AI-assisted practices, and collaborate with Trading, Quant Research, Sales, and Middle Office to deliver secure, scalable technology products. Role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, fast delivery, and implementing firmwide SDLC frameworks while mentoring engineers and partnering with Global teams.

Qualifikationen

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage complex technical items.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or equivalent training.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in performant, large-scale system development in object-oriented or functional languages (Python, Java, etc.).
• Experience leading enterprise‑authorized AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations.
• Strong understanding of secure, resilient engineering practices; coaching on compliant usage patterns.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes.
• Enthusiastic to keep learning and growing; previous team management experience.

• Works closely with Trading, Quant Research, Sales and Middle Office to deliver quality code in a fast-paced environment.
• Leads the Precious Metals and Agricultural products team regionally while aligning with global priorities.
• Manages NYC-based software engineering team to drive business results.
• Drives AI-assisted practices to improve code quality, speed, and operation outcomes with measurable standards.
• Guides and reviews work using SDLC/TLM toolchain and automation capabilities.
• Provides technical guidance to business units, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
• Promotes cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, innovative solutions.
• Contributes to firmwide SDLC frameworks and practices; advocates responsible AI usage.
• Influences peers on adopting leading-edge technologies and fosters inclusive team culture.
