JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer for the Precious Metals / Front Office domain, aligned with the Athena platform. You will lead the NYC software team, deliver production-grade code, and drive responsible AI-assisted engineering practices.

This role requires strong design and execution skills across trading, research, sales, and middle office teams, with a focus on secure, scalable solutions and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in performant, large-scale system development in an object-oriented or functional language such as Python, Java, etc.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Trading, Quantitative Research, Sales and Middle Office to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment.
• Act as regional lead for Precious Metals and Agricultural products ensuring alignment with global priorities.
• Manage NYC-based software engineering team to drive business results.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and operational outcomes including code reviews and testing.
• Provide technical guidance to support business teams, contractors, and vendors.
