Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the GPS HST Technology team to design, build, test, and deploy software solutions aligned with mission needs. The role emphasizes collaboration with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to deliver milestones across the full software lifecycle.

Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in software engineering, Agile delivery, and testing, with travel flexibility of up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of software engineering, application development, or systems implementation experience
• 4+ years of experience with at least one programming language such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or SQL
• 4+ years of experience in software development lifecycle delivery using Agile or Scrum methods
• 2+ year of experience with application testing, debugging, and production support
• Ability to travel 0-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and implementing software applications and technical solutions aligned to business and mission needs
• Translating functional and technical requirements into application features, system enhancements, and production-ready code
• Supporting system integration, defect resolution, performance improvement, and application maintenance activities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and client stakeholders, to deliver project milestones
• Contributing to solution documentation, sprint planning, code reviews, and deployment activities across the software development lifecycle
