Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior frontend engineer to design and implement React-based features for aviation data platforms. You will architect scalable frontend systems handling real-time and historical data, and collaborate with backend, product, and UX/UI teams to drive architectural decisions.

Role requires 5+ years of experience, deep React/TypeScript expertise, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment. Bay Area presence or relocation is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building high-performance, user-facing web applications.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, state management, HTML/CSS.
• Strong experience with asynchronous frontend patterns and handling live and historical data streams.
• Proven ownership of complex features or product areas from concept through delivery with high autonomy.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Uphold high technical standards through design decisions, code quality, mentorship, and hiring input.
• Analyze and optimize frontend performance for scalability, responsiveness, and reliability.

• Proven ownership of complex features or product areas from concept through delivery with high autonomy
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

• Ability to analyze and optimize frontend performance for scalability, responsiveness, and reliability
• Experience with geospatial or mapping tools such as Mapbox or Cesium is a bonus
• Experience with live data streaming and playback systems is a bonus
• Experience with video streaming technologies and real-time media delivery is a bonus
• Must be a U.S. Person due to U.S. export control regulations
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• No visa sponsorship or visa transfer support; all work must be performed in the United States
• San Francisco Bay Area presence or willingness to relocate
• Availability to work full-time
