Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Software Engineer Lead to guide the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software for DoD intelligence and mission systems.

You will lead teams, architect solutions, and apply Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices to deliver secure, scalable applications. The role requires an active Secret clearance, a Master’s degree in a CS-related field, 10+ years of software experience, and strong proficiency in Java, C++, and Python.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Master's degree in CS/related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java, C++, Python.
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying production software applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and best practices.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks and QA practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex software architectures using modern languages and frameworks.
• Lead development of DSP applications for SIGINT, EW, and Cyber solutions.
• Develop distributed and asynchronous programming models for mission systems.
• Design and document hardware/software interfaces between system components.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and deployment automation (GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible).
• Develop microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Write scripts using Python, Bash, or other languages for automation and deployment.
• Design production-grade applications with security, diagnostics, maintainability, scalability, auditing, and complex troubleshooting.
• Integrate systems with enterprise services, databases, and cloud architectures.
• Apply software standards and lifecycle processes; conduct code reviews and ensure quality.
