Job summary
Trabus Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to support NIWC Pacific from Government Facilities in San Diego, CA. This role also covers DevSecOps leadership, modernization, and secure software delivery in a government pipeline.
The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance, 3+ years of software engineering experience, and strong knowledge of Agile/DevSecOps, CI/CD, and software integration.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
- Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience translating user needs into software solutions and specifications.
- Knowledge of modern software-development methods including Agile and DevOps/DevSecOps, source control, build/test automation, and software integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead software architecture and DevSecOps for modernization, new functionality, integration, testing, and rapid delivery.
- Define coding standards, peer review, secure development, CI/CD, automated build/test, defect resolution, and release management.
- Coordinate developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, testers, configuration managers, and Government product owners.
- Mentor the Software Engineer I workforce and ensure continuity across development surges and steady-state staffing.
