Morgan Stanley, via Parametric, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own the Performance Reporting engine and modernize legacy systems into scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS. You will collaborate with business analysts, operations, and tech teams to meet accuracy, latency, and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes leadership, architecture, and delivering high-quality code within an Agile framework, with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong OO development with C#/.NET.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS.
• Experience leading software teams and mentoring engineers.
• Architecting highly available, distributed, event-driven systems.
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
• Proven Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• AI/GenAI fluency for engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a high-throughput, event-driven performance calculation engine on AWS.
• Migrate legacy reporting apps to a modern cloud-native platform.
• Design scalable distributed systems and enforce data modeling standards.
• Establish observability, tests, and runbooks for reliability and auditability.
• Lead Agile-based delivery: planning, backlogs, iterations.
• Mentor a global team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
