Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to build and support web and cloud solutions, guiding a team of engineers to deliver scalable applications. You will work across design, development, and operations in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You should bring five years of Core Java or .NET experience, strong knowledge of microservices and REST APIs, and hands-on cloud experience with AWS or Azure. Expect to mentor others and drive end-to-end architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or similar tech field.
• Five years of Core Java or .NET experience.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks is a plus.
• Three years of database design experience (RDBMS, NoSQL).
• Proficiency with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead development teams in agile environments, including offshore staff.
• Design and document scalable architecture across platforms.
• Mentor teammates in coding standards and best practices.
• Lead web development and API integration efforts.
• Drive rapid development using third‑party frameworks and APIs.
