Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Specialist Software Engineer to design and develop web and cloud solutions in an agile environment. You will lead architectural design, guide technical decisions, and collaborate with product owners and offshore engineers to deliver scalable, enterprise-wide systems.

The role requires deep experience with Java/.NET, cloud platforms, and modern development frameworks. Hybrid in-office schedule and a strong customer-focused mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Six years of Core Java or .NET experience.
• Expertise in coding platforms/frameworks (e.g. .NET/C#, Python, JAVA, OOD, OOP, Spring Framework, J2EE Development, OOP, Service Oriented Architecture, Dependency Injection, and Core Architecture).

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and complex architectural design across platforms toward end-to-end solutions.
• Lead committees or projects to define organization-wide standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with development staff, including contract/offshore engineers, in an agile environment.
• Code, test, and document solutions using web and cloud technologies.
• Lead large team design sessions and prepare presentations.
