Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial and Investment Bank Payments Team in Palo Alto. You will lead multiple technical areas, guide departments, and collaborate across domains to drive adoption of advanced engineering practices.

You will help keep the firm at the forefront of industry trends and technology. You will oversee large projects, partner with senior leaders, and ensure operational stability through robust observability and instrumentation across

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
Experience leading large or cross-functional technologist teams.
Experience influencing across matrixed organizations and delivering value at scale.
Experience leading complex projects covering design, testing, and reliability.
Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
Extensive practical cloud-native experience.
Strong CS/CE/Math technical foundation.
Set observability standards and drive instrumentation across platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives.
Directly manages multiple areas with strategic transactional focus.
Provide leadership and direction to teams across platforms, divisions, and lines of business.
Interface with senior leaders and executives, driving consensus across objectives.
Manage stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations.
