GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Software Engineer for IMA Configuration Tools. You will provide technical leadership, hands-on development, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver robust software solutions for aerospace programs.
The role is ideally hybrid/onsite in Grand Rapids, MI, with consideration for remote candidates; in‑person onboarding Day 1 applies if remote. Excellent engineering and mentoring opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Experience in C# and Python.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
- No visa sponsorship for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, debugging, testing and review of software in C# and Python.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Translate user needs into effective software solutions.
- Ensure alignment with product specs and program objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Identify risks and propose mitigations; support project planning.
