About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding financial technology company, is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Software Engineer specializing in backend development with Java and the Spring framework. This role, based in Welkom, Free State, offers a fantastic opportunity to architect, design, and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems. You will lead a team of skilled engineers, guiding them through the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and maintenance. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of microservices architecture, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), and best practices in software engineering. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical vision, ensuring code quality, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the engineering department in Welkom. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and resilient backend services using Java and the Spring Boot framework.

Requirements
