Guardian seeks a Lead Software Engineer to design and implement core components of the Group Benefits Absence Platform (ACE). You will collaborate with solution architects, developers, and business partners to deliver scalable, secure software for absence management across multiple workstreams.

The role requires hands-on API/microservices work, leadership across teams, and deep experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with service-oriented and cloud native software architecture.
• Experience with Java Springboot, Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis, Hibernate, Microsoft Graph API.
• Experience with modern API/ micro-service development, CI/CD.
• Experience with secure programming practices and cloud security principles.
• Experience with AI assisted product development using Github Co-pilot or Claude.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, EKS, SNS/SQS, SDK.
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket workflows.
• Experience with logging & monitoring tools: AppDynamics, ArgoCD, CloudWatch, Splunk, Zenoss.
• Experience with TDD and 90-100% code coverage.
• Proven ability to lead cross-team projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Fineos Group Insurance product knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop complex solutions in an Agile environment as part of a global team of engineers, designers, and product experts.
• Hand-on API or micro-services development.
• Lead technical design discussions across multiple technology disciplines to propose viable solutions.
• Build strong relationships with business and stakeholders to influence objectives.
• Mentor and develop new or less experienced team members.
• Coordinate deployments with non-prod environments and Release Management for Production deployments.
• Collaborate with SaaS provider to deliver capabilities for the program.
• Lead SDLC governance and ensure operational readiness by analyzing logs and creating monitoring/alerts.
• Understand Fineos SaaS platform and provide technical consultancy to users.
