Job summary

Collins Aerospace, based in Marlborough, MA, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our ATS-SED team delivering safety-critical air traffic management systems for international customers. You will lead software development, integration, and verification activities across Unix/Linux platforms using C/C++ in an agile environment.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 5+ years) and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience developing, integrating, testing and validating software components in Unix/Linux environment.
• Experience with the complete software development lifecycle using C/C++.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components for ATMS products in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Participate in agile processes including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming and story pointing.
• Collaborate with an integrated engineering team and external stakeholders to meet high maturity software engineering standards.
