Job summary

RTX in Marlborough, MA is seeking an engineer for the ATS-SED Software Engineering team to design, develop, test, and support air traffic control systems.

This onsite position requires a STEM background and experience with Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and software toolchains. The role offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, along with opportunities to work across multinational programs.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree or higher in a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Linux tuning, patching, hardening and access control.
• Experience configuring and maintaining software development tools, services, and server installations.
• Experience with configuring and maintaining networking routers and servers.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the software development environment.
• Maintain documentation and work instructions to meet high maturity standards.
• Participate in the agile process with daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing.
• Collaborate with an integrated engineering team and external stakeholders.
