Job summary

JPMorganChase's CDAO AI/ML Data Platform team is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to shape trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment. You will guide an agile team, drive architecture, and deliver production-grade systems.

You will mentor engineers, ensure AI-assisted tooling governance, and oversee 24x7 online services. Strong experience with Rust/Java/Go/C++, system design, and enterprise software is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong core engineering skills: hands-on coding and system design for modern enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in Rust, Java, Go, or C++.
• Experience leading enterprise AI-assisted software development tooling with codified validation and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security considerations.
• Track record building and operating 24x7, tier-1 online services.
• Hands-on delivery across system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Ability to tackle design problems independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations, with measurable validation standards
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development and automation to improve value
• Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and operations
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Contributes to engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices
• Influences peers to adopt leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect
• Builds and operates 24x7, tier-1 online services
