Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the CDAO AI/ML Data Platforms Team. You will provide deep engineering expertise, lead agile teams, and deliver trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

You will drive strategy across multiple products, architect AI-enabled workflows, and influence senior stakeholders while building reusable software frameworks and 24x7 online services.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Rust, Java, Go, C++.
• Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Advises and leads on the strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolio.
• Creates novel code solutions and drives the development of new production code capabilities across teams and functions.
• Architects and governs agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve value.
• Translates highly complex technical issues to leadership to drive innovation and strategic decisions about technology advancements.
• Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with latest product development methodologies.
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams.
• Influences across business, product, and technology teams and manages senior stakeholder relationships.
• Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert.
• Build and operate 24x7, tier‑1 online services.
• Champions diversity, inclusion, and respect within the firm.
