Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Corporate Sector- Chief Technology Office to advance trusted, secure, scalable technology platforms. You will craft production-grade code, guide AI-assisted engineering practices, and ensure robust automation across the SDLC.

You will lead technical discussions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers while upholding security and resiliency standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
• Advanced in one or more programming languages: Python, Go, Java or Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews/debugs code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability of software applications and systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams to assess architectural designs and applicability.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies.
• Contributes to a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
