Job summary

Bonterra, a mission-driven tech company, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the United States. You will design, build, and scale microservices using Go for backend APIs and Angular for frontend, driving robust architecture and high-quality user experiences.

You will own API design with OpenAPI, embrace Kubernetes deployments, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product, design, and QA teams. AI features and experimentation are encouraged to accelerate development and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience, including production systems.
• Strong Go backend and RESTful API design experience.
• Proficient with Angular (15+) and TypeScript.
• Experience with microservices architecture and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain microservices in Go and Angular UI.
• Develop RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Build scalable Angular UI and reusable components.
• Operate in a Kubernetes/Helm deployment environment.
• Implement testing with Ginkgo for Go and Jest/Cypress for Angular.
• Lead full software lifecycle from planning to demos.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Experiment with AI tools to accelerate development.
