Job summary

JPMorgan Chase, a leading global financial services firm, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City to join our Corporate Technology team. You will be a core technical contributor in an agile environment, delivering scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native microservices and RESTful services.

You will design and build solutions with zero-downtime releases, lead AI-assisted development practices, and mentor peers while expanding your expertise across Java 17, Spring Boot, Python

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering including system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Strong Java 17 and Spring Boot with REST APIs, Spring Security, schedulers, and multi-module Maven apps.
• Strong Python with FastAPI, asynchronous processing, Poetry, Gunicorn, pytest.
• Front-end experience with React, TypeScript, JS, Node.js, HTML/CSS, responsive apps.
• Experience with modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Babel, Jest, RTL, Axios, React Router, component libraries).
• Knowledge of architecture across application, data, integration, and infrastructure.
• Experience designing secure REST integrations (JSON/XML, OAuth2, SAML, TLS/mTLS).
• Identity technologies: ADFS, Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, RBAC, X.509.

• Design scalable, zero-downtime solutions.
