Job summary

US LBM Holdings, LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Application Development (Logistics and Dispatch) to provide technical leadership while working hands-on with engineers building and supporting applications, APIs, and integrations that power US LBM's logistics, dispatch, transportation, and delivery operations.

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack experience, Azure proficiency, and a track record leading teams to translate complex operational needs into scalable, reliable software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years delivering web, mobile, or enterprise solutions; 4+ years full-stack development.
• Strong leadership through mentoring, code reviews, design guidance, architecture decisions, and delivery ownership.
• Hands-on development experience with Microsoft Azure and logistics/dispatch domain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications, APIs, and integrations for logistics and dispatch.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, code reviews, and design guidance to other engineers.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Operations, and stakeholders to translate priorities into scalable solutions.
• Apply logistics expertise across routing, scheduling, fleet operations, carrier management, and last-mile delivery.
• Lead architecture decisions to ensure scalable, secure, reliable, high-volume systems.
• Guide delivery by managing priorities, risks, dependencies, and production readiness.
• Build reusable patterns, APIs, integration approaches, CI/CD pipelines, and standards for delivery platforms.
• Improve logistics processes through automation and AI-assisted development.
• Integrate logistics apps with ERP, warehouse, order management, and third-party systems.
