Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Corporate Sector CTO team. You will be a core technical contributor working on secure, scalable, trusted technology products to support the firm’s objectives.

You will drive AI-assisted engineering practices, oversee secure coding standards, and mentor teams in modern CI/CD and agile processes to improve delivery speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proficient with AWS services and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience leading AI-assisted software development tools with validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Advanced in Python/Go/Java/Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in automation and CI/CD.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Proficiency in software applications and technical processes in cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and outcomes while establishing validation standards.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve value realized by automation.
• Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issues to improve stability of apps and systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote new technologies.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
