Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive scalable, secure Java services and modern architectures. You will design, develop, and operate API-driven microservices, streaming data pipelines with Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines, while guiding the team with secure coding practices and AI-assisted development approaches to improve quality and delivery speed.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs.
Strong Java/Spring Boot and database (SQL/NoSQL) skills.
Proven ability to design, develop and deploy medium to large apps in Agile.
Proficiency in building secure, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Spinnaker, or CodePipeline.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver scalable, resilient Java-based services and microservices.
Build and maintain API-driven REST solutions and distributed architectures.
Develop and optimize data pipelines and streaming with Apache Kafka.
