Job summary

Flexjet is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale full-stack applications. You will mentor engineers, drive API and front-end design with Angular and .NET, and optimize SQL Server databases for performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while upholding coding standards and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale full-stack applications.
• Extensive experience with Angular, C#/.NET APIs, and SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture patterns, distributed systems, microservices, and database design.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and support of full-stack software solutions utilizing Angular, C#/.NET APIs, and SQL Server.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and coaching on engineering best practices.
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance, and highly available APIs and services consumed across multiple business-critical applications.
• Drive front-end architecture and user experience improvements using Angular and modern web development practices.
• Lead database design efforts, including data modeling, performance optimization, query tuning, and integration strategies within SQL Server environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Enforce software development standards, architectural principles, and coding best practices across the team.
• Lead technical planning, estimation, and execution of strategic initiatives and large-scale projects.
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges spanning front-end, back-end, database, and integration components.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve application performance, maintainability, security, and developer productivity.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for critical production issues and provide leadership in root cause analysis and resolution efforts.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment between technology solutions and business objectives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with increasing technical leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading the design and delivery of enterprise-scale full-stack applications.
• Extensive experience developing applications using Angular, C#/.NET APIs, and SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture patterns, distributed systems, microservices, and database design.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proficient with C#/.NET APIs, Visual Studio, and modern software engineering practices.
• Proficient in Angular development, including component architecture, state management, responsive design, and performance optimization.
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server development, including database design, stored procedures, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, application security, scalability, and performance optimization.
