Job summary

RightClick seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive maintenance, modernization, and development of online and backend platforms from its Fairfield County, CT base. You will mentor junior engineers, lead complex projects, and collaborate across Dev, QA, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes strong C#/.NET expertise, Blazor and SQL Server proficiency, and hands-on leadership in code reviews and architecture. Hybrid work in CT is offered.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years hands-on software development with C# and .NET.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with Blazor, JavaScript, and legacy ASP.NET WebForms.
  • Deep SQL Server database skills and complex schemas.
  • Experience with WCF, Worker Services, and background processing in .NET.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps toolchains, build/release pipelines, and Git/Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert on software development projects spanning legacy and modern .NET platforms.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, solution architecture, and system documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure and on-premises infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions integrating SQL Server, Azure services, and third-party APIs.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Our client is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the ongoing maintenance, modernization, and development of their online and backend platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical expertise and a personable, collaborative approach, someone who can mentor junior engineers while leading complex development projects. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, CT.

Lead Software Engineer's Responsibilities And Duties
