Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Software Developer to join the Air Traffic Business Area, contributing to cloud-based flight service and air traffic systems modernization for FAA initiatives. You will work in a Scaled Agile organization delivering safe, scalable software in a regulated environment.

You will design and implement containerized applications, collaborate with SE, product delivery, and DevSecOps teams, and participate in SAFe rituals while pursuing high-quality, mission-critical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 4-8 years experience or a Master's with 2-6 years.
• Strong experience with Java and React and web front-end tech (HTML, CSS, JS).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, XSD.
• Proficiency with Spring Framework, Spring Security, Spring Boot.
• Linux experience, version control with Git/Subversion.
• Experience with unit testing tools like JUnit and Mockito.
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and Agile/SAFe environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software individually and in teams in an Agile environment.
• Write, test, debug, and maintain source code.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, release planning, and team activities.
• Write and execute unit and functional tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in lab and production environments.
• Provide cross-team support to systems engineering and DevSecOps.
