Job summary

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire a Social Worker III for the Madden Mental Health Center located in Hines, Illinois. You will perform highly responsible social work services, evaluate patients and community services, and develop treatment strategies while communicating in Spanish for non-English speakers.

The position requires an MSW, two years of professional experience, and licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from a recognized college or university.
• Requires licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Requires ability to read, speak and write Spanish at a colloquial skill level.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly responsible and complex social work services on an assigned unit.
• Evaluate clinical problems for patients.
• Evaluate community provider services for future placement.
• Develops treatment strategies and evaluates group, individual and family counseling sessions.
• Serve as designated lead worker.
• Complete documentation in the clinical record per policy and Joint Commission standards.
• Make referrals to Linkage Case Management and Assertive Community teams and community agencies.
• Provide consultation to community agencies, professionals, families, and other facilities.
