The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery within the State of Illinois is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse I for the Chester Mental Health Center in Chester, Illinois. The nurse provides direct care and supports treatment plans, with Spanish language translation support as needed.

Candidates must hold IL RN licensure and be able to communicate in Spanish; shifts vary and a fully in‑office schedule is anticipated at this location. This is a union position under applicable agreements.

Formación

• Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Education from an approved nursing program leading to an RN degree.
• Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish at a colloquial level.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on a living unit.
• Guide and supervise lower level staff on treatment plans and policies.
• Administer medications and collect specimens as required.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and provide Basic Life Support.
• Consult with physicians regarding patient care decisions.
• Maintain safe and sanitary environment and request training as needed.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of nursing duties.
