The Illinois Department of Human Services seeks a Social Worker III at Madden Mental Health Center in Hines, Illinois. The role performs highly responsible social work on an assigned unit, conducts assessments, and provides intensive services to individuals with complex emotional and psycho-social needs.

Bilingual Spanish communication is required; the position is office-based with standard hours and opportunities to coordinate with community providers. Licensing and degree requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Two years of professional social work experience in mental health settings.
• Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the appropriate state board.
• Ability to read, write and speak Spanish at a colloquial level.

Responsabilités

• Perform highly responsible and complex social work services on an assigned unit.
• Evaluate clinical problems for patients and determine needs for placement.
• Develop treatment strategies and evaluate group, individual and family counseling.
• Serve as designated lead worker and coordinate with teams.
• Provide services to Spanish-speaking patients and families.
• Complete clinical documentation per policy and Joint Commission standards.
• Refer to Linkage Case Management and community agencies as needed.
• Provide consultation to community agencies and other facilities.
