Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work with two years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work with three years related experience.
• Master’s degree in human services with three years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services with four years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and five years related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Child Welfare Pre-Service Training.
• Possess a valid NC Driver's License.
• SBI criminal history checks required for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Trains social workers and child welfare staff through policy materials, laws and regulations.
• Assigns cases and reviews staff activities to ensure accuracy.
• Makes screening decisions using policies, rules, and applicable laws.
• Participates in court related matters.
• Leads staff to accept change and address crisis situations.
• Plans services, activities and goals for the team with ongoing assessment.
• Maintains records and prepares monthly reports.
• Monitors compliance with rules, laws, and policies.
• Participates in interagency and partner agency meetings.
• Provides on-call supervision after hours on a rotating basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participation in preparedness and regular exercises during emergencies.
