Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco is seeking a Sleep Technologist Lead to oversee sleep studies, set up equipment, and train staff. You will monitor studies and coordinate with Facilities, IT, and clinical engineering to ensure smooth operations.

A minimum of 4 years as a sleep tech with scoring experience, an RPSGT/RST or equivalent certification, and strong MS Office skills are required. Flexibility to work across UCSF Medical Center locations is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic MS Office functions.
• Ability to meet productivity/quality standards and effective time management.
• Ability to coach/mentor staff and work collaboratively with peers and supervisors.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Keeping inventory of supplies.
• Managing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment.
• Contacting Facilities, Housekeeping, IT, or Clinical Engineering for issues.
• Conducting and monitoring sleep studies.
• Acting as a team lead or resource for sleep technologists.
• Assisting the team when the patient/technician ratio is 2:1.
• Setting up equipment and patients.
• Training staff.
• Scoring sleep studies.
• Working independently and fostering professionalism and a strong work ethic within the team.
