Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Limited Appointment Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to conduct sleep studies, set up equipment and patients, and monitor scoring. The role involves training other polysomnographic technologists and troubleshooting artifacts while requiring the ability to work independently across UCSF worksites in California.

The ideal candidate will hold an RST or RPSGT or California Sleep Technologist license, have CPR BLS current, and at least one year of night shift

Qualifications

• Current CPR BLS required.
• Flexibility to orient and work in different UCSF worksites.
• 1 year experience working nights in a sleep lab.
• Must hold one of the required licenses (RST or RPSGT or CA Sleep Tech).

Job Description This limited appointment Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for conducting and monitoring sleep studies, set up of equipment and patients, training Polysomnographic Technologists, troubleshooting artifacts and scoring tests. Must be able to work independently.

Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS

• Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work in different UCSF worksites
• Current CPR BLS.
• One of the following licenses:
• Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
• Current Sleep Technologist license from California Medical Board
• At least 1 year experience working nights in a sleep lab
• High school Diploma, GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualification Associate’s degree in one of the applied sciences At least two years of experience in a pediatric Sleep Disorders Center
