Job summary

Louis Ptak Construction seeks an experienced Site Superintendent to lead high-end custom residential projects in California’s luxury market. The role requires coordinating complex site conditions, detailed architectural plans, and large subcontractor teams to deliver exceptional homes.

The ideal candidate has deep field leadership, robust construction knowledge, and the ability to oversee multiple scopes with a two-Superintendent leadership model on larger projects.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of construction experience in high-end custom residential construction.
• 5+ years as a Superintendent in similar projects.
• Experience handling projects in the $10–$25 million range.
• GC license held or past GC company ownership, with desire to work for another firm.
• Strong ability to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day site activities for large, complex residential projects.
• Lead site logistics, sequencing, safety, quality control, and subcontractor coordination.
• Layout the house from axis lines/gridlines directing concrete, structural steel, and carpenters.
• Review and markup shop drawings for structural and finish trades.
• Build and maintain the project schedule, critical path, look-ahead schedules, and manpower needs.
• Support client, architect, designer, engineer, inspector, and subcontractor communication in the field.
• Collaborate with PM, APM, PA, and subcontractors to foresee and solve problems.
