Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer for the Air Dominance SRE team in Berkeley, MO. You will shape reliability strategy and oversee critical tooling (GitLab, Jira, Confluence, PostgreSQL, Artifactory, SonarQube) across developer platforms.

You will guide architecture, implement standards, and mentor engineers to ensure secure, scalable operations. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, infra, software engineering, and vendor partners to drive automation, IaC, and resilient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, data science, or related field.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain SAP access clearance.
• 8+ years with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Enterprise architecture experience: cloud, security, data privacy.
• 5+ years in root cause analysis, tech leadership, and team management.
• Preferred: GitLab, Jira, PostgreSQL, AWS or Azure, IaC, containers.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead SRE strategy for developer tooling platforms.
• Establish reliability architecture, SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, KPIs, observability.
• Serve as senior technical authority for reliability and security decisions.
• Lead architecture reviews for CI/CD topology, databases, cloud and on‑premise.
• Drive IaC, automation, and configurations to reduce toil.
• Oversee upgrades, migrations, patching, and roadmaps for platforms.
• Mentor SREs in operational excellence and secure administration.
• Collaborate with program leadership, cybersecurity, infra, and vendors.
• Identify risks, debt, and remediation plans for platform reliability.
• Participate in after-hours support for mission-critical issues.
