Job summary
Socket.dev is seeking a Lead Service Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and building automation/HVAC controls in commercial facilities. You will respond to service requests, perform routine and emergency repairs, and support upgrades to ensure safe, reliable operation.
The role requires strong communication with customers and clear documentation of work orders, with occasional night shifts as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of combined experience in commercial HVAC controls, BAS, electrical, and repair work.
- Experience troubleshooting commercial HVAC control systems and BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara/Tridium, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens).
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, dampers, VFDs, thermostats, and controller wiring/configuration.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and HVAC controls/BAS in the field.
- Respond to service calls, including emergency and on-call requests, in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Perform routine maintenance, controls calibration, equipment upgrades, and corrective repairs on HVAC control systems.
