Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Critical Systems Technician III, HVAC in Phoenix to lead mission critical mechanical services and ensure contractual compliance. The role involves overseeing installation, service, maintenance, and operation of data center HVAC systems, with on-call responsibilities and after-hours support.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of large commercial HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, AZ Journeyman license, OSHA certification, and strong diagnostic skills with DDC,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Basic air condition theory knowledge required.
• Understand HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Experience with DDC, pneumatic and VFD controls.
• 7+ years large commercial HVAC service experience; 8+ preferred.
• Pass client background checks or training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment without supervision.
• Maintain, upgrade and backup Building Automation Software as required.
• Respond to after-hours calls as required.
• Supervise and mentor lower-grade technicians to improve technical levels.
• On-call after hours assignments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
