Job summary

AKRS Equipment Solutions is seeking a Lead Service Technician in Nebraska to diagnose and repair agricultural equipment, lead technicians, and support the service team. The role involves assisting in order appraisal, ensuring accurate repair documentation, and stepping in for the Service Manager when needed.

Candidates should have a diesel technician background, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic/technician performing service repairs.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and AMS products.
• Assist in appraisal of repair orders and review orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Direct and assist in diagnosis of machine problems and support technician development.
• Fill in for the Service Manager in their absence and lead by example.
• Assist other technicians and lead in diagnostics; use Service Center and DTAC Cases.
