Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is hiring immediately for a Service Technician II to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration systems including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and reach-in/walk-in coolers.

The role requires at least three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration, a valid driver's license, and a clean background check. On-site work with opportunities for advancement and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Journeyman license and/or CFESA certification is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part orders and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet safety standards.
• Meeets on-call requirements.

Summary:

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
