Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is hiring Service Technician II to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration systems across our Southeast locations. You will diagnose and repair grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and reach-in/walk-in coolers, communicating status and parts needs to customers and branch support.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration, 18+ years old, and a valid driver's license with a good

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen required.
• Valid Driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, coolers).
• Provide status updates for parts and repairs to branch and customer.
• Complete service calls accurately and timely.
• Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensure service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet Whaley safety standards.
• Meet on-call requirements.

Summary:

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.

Details:

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercialcookingkitchenequipment, refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part order(s) and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms are consistent with Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
