Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain, service and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration systems, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and walk-in coolers. You will diagnose issues, order parts, and communicate progress to customers.

Qualified candidates have at least three years in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration, a valid driver's license, and are able to pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid Driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicate status updates for parts and repairs with branch support and customers.
• Complete service calls accurately and timely.
• Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensure service vehicle and tools meet safety standards.
• Meet on-call requirements.

Summary

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc.

Details

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs commercialcookingkitchenequipment, refrigeration.
• Communicates status updates for part order(s) and repairs with branch support and customer.
• Completes service calls accurately and timely.
• Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensures service vehicle, tools, and uniforms are consistent with Whaley standards of safety.
• Meets on-call requirements.

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
