Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Lead Server to courteously serve resident and guest meals, supervise daily server assignments, train staff, and ensure proper coverage.

You will maintain dining room and kitchen cleanliness, assist with menu changes, oversee special events, and support residents with orders and take-out, while upholding confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must secure and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead server duties including courteous serving of meals to residents and guests.
• Supervise daily assignments of servers and assist with training.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room, kitchen and serving areas.
• Assist with menu posting, special events setup and take-out orders.
• Assist residents with placing orders and provide beverage service.
• Support interviewing and hiring for lead server positions and maintain confidentiality.
