Job summary

Birch Hospitality in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a confident, hospitality-driven Lead Server/Key Holder to help lead our front-of-house team and create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

This role pays $12.98 per hour in addition to tips. Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, managing floor flow, coaching staff, ensuring service standards, conducting inventory, handling cash, and maintaining a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and people skills.
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts.
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to count change.
• Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people.
• Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment preferred.
• Minimum (2) years in a lead position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the front-of-house team during service.
• Complete opening procedures, including preparing the dining room, bar, service stations, and FOH for service.
• Complete closing procedures, including securing the restaurant, completing closing checklists, cleaning and resetting FOH areas, and ensuring all closing tasks are properly completed.
• Help manage the floor, sections, reservations, and guest flow.
• Support and coach servers and other front-of-house staff.
• Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, and restaurant presentation.
• Conduct and maintain liquor and FOH inventory, including accurate counts and organization.
• Assist with cash handling and end-of-shift procedures.
• Address guest questions or concerns professionally and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with management and the kitchen team.
• Help create a positive, energetic, and team-focused work environment.
