Job summary

Bayside Terrace Senior Living LLC in Pinellas Park, FL is seeking a Senior Server for a swing shift from 10:30am to 7:00pm, Saturday through Wednesday. The position pays $16.00–$18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include attending pre-meal meetings, greeting residents, coordinating dining flow, setting tables, assisting host/hostess, and ensuring supplies and safety guidelines are followed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years in food service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic 2+ years’ experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-meal service meeting at 7:30am, 11:30am & 3:30pm.
• Fold napkins.
• Check tables in the station to ensure they are ready for service.
• Coordinate with host/hostess to begin seating residents.
• Ensure all water pitchers, coffee, ice, soup, lemons, and china are available and ready for use during service.
• Follow all facility guidelines regarding serving residents and guest meals.
• If a resident concern/problem occurs, apologize to the resident and inform supervisor immediately.
• Always use proper lifting techniques.
• Pre-bus tables; place dishes and silverware in the dish area.
• Complete closing side duties as assigned.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist with opening & closing tasks.
• Work independently with little or no supervision.
• Effectively report emergencies such as changes in residents’ condition, accidents, incidents, complaints, and grievances by residents/patients and their families.
• Communicate with others and maintain a safe environment for self and others.

Description of Physical Strength Required

The Senior Server must be capable of lifting a minimum of forty pounds.

Environmental Conditions

The Senior Server will work in a well‑lit, ventilated area that is as physically innocuous as possible. The role may involve exposure to various health care circumstances, including but not limited to AIDS, HIV, and hepatitis B viruses. Employees must be able to work in this environment without posing a direct threat to themselves or others.

Primary Activities

Sitting occasionally (0–3hours) during service; walking constantly (6–8+hours); standing constantly (6–8+hours); bending neck, waist, and squatting frequently (3–6hours) as necessary throughout the shift.
