Job summary

RELI Group is seeking a Lead Sr. Coder in Baltimore, MD to lead a team of coders, perform primary and secondary RADV coding validations, and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of PHI. Certified USA medical coder with 5+ years of ICD-9/ICD-10-CM experience preferred.

You will mentor up to 15 coders, provide training, and escalate complex coding questions through an established process, while maintaining 95% IRR standards and strict productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Certified medical coder with US credentialing.
• Minimum 5 years of abstracting and ICD-9/ICD-10-CM coding experience in general acute hospital settings and physician records.
• Ability to function in a lead role and train medical record reviewers; act as Master Coder.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary and secondary coding validation of inpatient, outpatient, and physician records per RADV guidelines.
• Perform QA of coder reviews and provide feedback and training to coders.
• Oversee and mentor a team of up to 15 coders; mediate coding decisions and escalate as needed.
