Job summary

Nautilus Homes in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead estimating and procurement from early design through project buyout. You will prepare budgets, review drawings, and distribute bid packages to subs while supporting project managers throughout procurement.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in estimating or preconstruction for luxury homes, excellent organization, and strong knowledge of residential construction practices in Florida. Onsite role with solid benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating, preconstruction, procurement, or project management experience.
• Experience in luxury custom homes or high-end residential construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Experience managing subcontractor bidding and procurement.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel, and construction estimating software.
• Working knowledge of Florida residential construction and permitting requirements.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, well-organized estimates that support successful project execution.
• Build strong relationships with trusted subcontractors and suppliers.
• Help Project Managers make informed decisions through reliable budgeting and procurement.
• Identify risks and opportunities early in the preconstruction process.
