Job summary

Buffalo Builders is seeking a Lead Self-Performing Carpenter to execute interior commercial scopes across projects. You will read plans, set framing, install drywall and FRP, and install millwork and doors.

This hands-on role requires strong carpentry skills, zoning with project teams, and mentoring junior team members. The position emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and on-site leadership within our Self-Perform Division.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of carpentry and commercial construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial drawings and specs.
• Proficiency in drywall hanging, finishing, and finish carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Lead self-perform scopes on active commercial job sites.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings and specs.
• Frame walls and structures using wood and metal stud systems.
• Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall to a high standard.
• Install FRP wall panels in commercial spaces.
• Install millwork, cabinetry, doors, and hardware.
• Plan work, identify tools and manpower, and mentor juniors.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness on site.
