Job summary

Arcadis seeks an experienced Sediment Remediation Engineer to oversee nationwide waterfront projects, including characterization, remediation design, construction, and related engineering tasks. The role supports site investigations and remedial actions at contaminated sediment sites, with the position based anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the sediment field.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Expertise in dredging, sediment capping, in situ treatment or stabilization, soft sediment/geotechnical aspects, groundwater-surface water interaction, hydrodynamic modeling, or resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of client-ready documents and designs with senior-level review for technical content and quality.
• Effectively manage and lead multidisciplinary teams including scopes, schedules, budgets, and communications with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers and scientists.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on sediment investigation or remediation projects and contribute to internal teams and industry presentations.
• Support business development through client/regulatory meetings and proposal development.
