Location

San Francisco Bay, California area (Livermore/East Bay with some general Bay Area projects). Driving is expected; all applicants must be comfortable commuting to/from Pleasanton, CA, and to our office in Livermore, CA.

Overview

This role supports the Service and Project Management Teams by delivering Edgeworth Integration new projects and servicing existing clients. Responsibilities include providing service, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting/diagnostics on access control, video management, intrusion detection equipment, and IP‑based video systems such as electrified/non‑electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP/analog cameras, head‑end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systems.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing, cleaning, troubleshooting, programming, and testing enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. Knowledge of IP video surveillance is preferred.
  • Troubleshoot and program networked IP video systems.
  • Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems including CCTV, access control and intrusion systems; act as the key interface for technical support and training, maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Perform all work in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company health and safety policies.
  • Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
  • Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques and standards, and suggestions for product improvements.
  • Provide high‑end customer service to clients, colleagues, and partners.
  • Lead, mentor, and direct installers and technicians in the field, ensuring proper installation practices, adherence to OSHA safety standards, and alignment with project timelines. Provide hands‑on technical guidance, assign tasks, and support team development.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; current students in a technical trade school are a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of technology, infrastructure, and configuration.
  • Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is highly preferred: Avigilon, Axis, Exacq, Digital Watchdog, Hanwha, and IPro.
  • Experience with CCTV/IP Video security, access control, and intrusion systems is required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience servicing IP‑based video systems and networking.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience troubleshooting and programming networked IP video systems, including working on the customer’s network.
  • Knowledge of internet and networking is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Valid driving license and clean MVR.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Scale ladders frequently.
  • Work comfortably in outdoor environments and perform physical tasks related to environmental maintenance.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
